UBF: Bell to get $1.6 million for Northern Ontario project

OTTAWA – The federal government said today it will give $1.6 million to Bell Canada from the Universal Broadband Fund’s rapid response stream to bring broadband to more than 684 more homes in two communities near North Bay, Ont. Bell will build high-speed Internet to rural residents in Powassan and Hornell Heights and contribute invest $564,478 of its own money.
