UBF adds $379,000 in funding to Bell’s $1.2 million Newfoundland network expansion

OTTAWA – Residents of Goose Cove, Great Brehat, St. Anthony, St. Anthony Bight and St. Carols, Newfoundland & Labrador, will soon benefit from increased connectivity, the federal government announced today. Over $379,000 from the rapid response stream of the Universal Broadband fund will help bring broadband to 1,184 homes in those communities, all found on the northern tip of The Rock. The project will see Bell Canada spend $1.26 million to extend its network to these homes and businesses. For more, please click here.
