Two more companies fined for DNCL violations

OTTAWA – The CRTC has nabbed two more companies for violating the national do not call list (DNCL), and has slapped them each with $20,000 in fines.Between July 21, 2009 and January 19, 2010, the Commission said that it received numerous complaints in relation to fax telemarketing telecommunications made by Roofing by Peerless Mason Ltd. After issuing a notice of violation and a fine of $20,000 to the company on February 15, 2010 and receiving no reply, the Commission imposed an additional $20,000 administrative monetary penalty on Wednesday.
