Twitter streaming MLB games this season

SAN FRANSCISCO – With the new season now under way, Major League Baseball fans around the world can turn to Twitter to see one game per week.

@MLB will launch its weekly Twitter game of the week this Friday, April 7, with out-of-market live streaming of the World Series Champion Chicago Cubs taking on the Milwaukee Brewers at 8:10 p.m. ET.

The game will be available for free to logged-in and logged-out Twitter users on mobile phones, tablets, PCs and connected devices via mlb.twitter.com and @MLB. The live streams will be available worldwide, including Canada, except in select international territories, reads the release. Each weekly stream will be a simulcast of the television broadcast of that game’s home team.

Only out of market games will be available for viewing, which means there will be no Blue Jays games streamed in Canada – or any Cubs or White Sox games in Chicago.
