TVO overhauls website, streamlines content

TORONTO – Provincial educational broadcaster TVO has re-launched its website to include more videos and documentaries organized into six new content channels.

The new content channels include politics and current affairs; citizenship and community; science and nature; business and technology; parents and education; and society and culture.  Themed pages are designed to pull and display related content from across the site, making it easy for users to discover related videos, links, and online-exclusives from TVO's vast library of made-at-TVO educational content.

The site also now offers opportunities for deeper discussion and community engagement around its blogs, videos and articles.

"With the new TVO.org we've raised the bar for issue-based online public discourse," said CEO Lisa de Wilde, in the announcement.  "More than ever before, we're using our media toolkit to inform, engage and empower people to have constructive dialogue and exchange ideas around the key themes that anchor TVO's content strategy."
