TVA extends Zeste cooking brand across Quebecor platforms

MONTREAL — Quebecor’s TVA Group today announced its Zeste cooking brand is celebrating its 10th anniversary with a major rollout across Quebecor’s media ecosystem.

The brand already has a television presence on the Zeste channel and in the Zeste Cuisine column on TVA’s Salut Bonjour show. In addition, the brand is featured in Quebecor’s Journal de Montréal and the Journal de Québec with the Zeste section every Saturday, and on the web at Zeste.ca and on social media.

Soon, the Zeste brand will be on newsstands as well with a special issue of TVA Group’s Coup de pouce magazine, and in bookstores with Planches, the first book under the Zeste présente banner, in collaboration with Groupe Homme. Quebecor bought the Zeste brand as part of the purchase of Serdy Media in 2019.

“This is a big fall season for Zeste,” says Patrick Jutras, senior vice-president and chief advertising officer of Quebecor and TVA Group, in the news release. “We’ve been registering strong interest in our foodie channel since it joined TVA Group. It’s a good fit with our existing offerings. Our culinary ecosystem reaches more than 84% of Quebecers. More than ever, it’s a must for advertisers who want to position themselves in this environment.”

In addition to Quebecor’s multiplatform reach, the company’s culinary offerings in digital format and on social networks draw 4.7 million unique visitors per month, according to the news release. Quebecor’s English publication Canadian Living has 4.3 million cross-platform readers per month, says the release.

Quebecor and its Zeste channel showcase original productions featuring Quebec talent, such as Martin Juneau and Patrick Marsolais, who combine their passions for food and sports on L’avant-match des foodies, and Bob le chef and grillmaster Steven Raichlen, who host BBQ en boîte. Other channel regulars include Sébastien Benoît, who is hosting Coups de Food for a sixth season, and Stefano Faita and his sidekicks Émilie Fournier and Hugo St-Jacques, who are back for another season with Station Potluck.
