TVA accelerates MELS’ executive transition

MONTREAL — Michel Trudel is stepping aside as president of TVA Group’s MELS Studios effective today and becoming a strategic consultant to the film studio and postproduction company. Trudel will serve in that role until December 31, 2021, TVA Group president and CEO France Lauzière said today, while also announcing Martin Carrier is taking over as president of MELS effectively immediately. In April, Carrier was announced as Trudel’s replacement as president, but the handover wasn’t originally scheduled to take place until December 31, 2020.
