TV Guide quits print in Canada

MONTREAL – Reading the writing on the virtual wall, Transcontinental Media announced Thursday it will stop producing a hard copy of TV Guide. The brand will become a web publication instead which will support more detailed listings, more frequent programming updates, and portable listings consultation, "serving to make the essential online television entertainment and listings source for Canadians," touts the press release. The on-line guide will provide region-specific program line-ups for communities across Canada for free.
