Tune in: Juno TV launches online Jan. 29


TORONTO – Canadian music will soon have its own online channel to celebrate original content and iconic archival footage 365 days a year. Juno TV will launch its new digital platform on January 29 says The Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (CARAS) and will feature today's musical stars and showcase the history of the Juno Awards.

New Juno TV content project, made possible with the support of the Ontario Media Development Corporation on behalf of the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sport, will appear weekly on the website. The unique content, created and produced by CARAS for the first time, will also be syndicated via social media sites such as YouTube, Facebook and Twitter. Juno TV helps fulfill CARAS's mission to celebrate Canadian music 12 months a year. It will cast a spotlight on today's talented musicians while bringing new life to legendary Juno moments.

Juno TV's videographer is Ben Knechtel, who won a 2012 MMVA for Video of the Year for Carly Rae Jepsen's "Call Me Maybe." The 42nd annual Juno Awards and Juno Week will be held in Regina and Moose Jaw, SK, April 15 – April 21, 2013.
