TORONTO – TSN took the wraps off of its new set Friday, just in time for the opening kickoff of the FIFA Women's World Cup Canada 2015 on Saturday afternoon.
Located in Bell Media’s studio 6 space in the east end of Toronto, TSN said that the versatile set was redesigned for the network’s new five-feed era, and includes two additional desks for hosting distinct shows with a unique look, numerous stand-up locations, and design elements that are instantly recognizable from TSN’s animations and graphics package.
TSN and CTV are pulling out all the stops for the live coverage of all 52 matches from the tournament, including an enhanced set-up of 22 cameras, including a helicopter camera and a cable camera that roams above the pitch on wires, for the opening match, semi-finals and final match. Production will also include more than 40 original features on compelling stories from the event, and select features and reports will air in the U.S. during FOX’s coverage of the tournament.
Canadians can access all games on CTV, TSN, RDS, TSN.ca, CTV Go, TSN Go, TSN Radio Network and Bell Mobile TV. With games in Edmonton, Moncton, Montreal, Ottawa, Vancouver, and Winnipeg, the final game of the FIFA Women's World Cup Canada 2015 will take place July 5 at BC Place in Vancouver on CTV/RDS at 7:00 PM ET.
TSN, CTV, and RDS are official broadcasters of FIFA events from 2015 to 2026, including the FIFA World Cup in 2018, 2022, and 2026.
