TORONTO – TSN has signed a deal with the NBA extending its basketball broadcasting rights for another two years.
TSN will air 20 regular season Toronto Raptors games, at least 17 NBA playoff games, coverage from the NBA all-star weekend, and exclusive Canadian coverage of the NBA final. All the programming will be shown in HD.
“This NBA deal is a direct result of our aggressive approach to securing high profile sports properties with a strong focus on HD,” said TSN President Phil King in a statement. “We anticipate strong fan interest in the Raptors this season after the team secured the No. 1 draft pick and made notable changes to its roster.”
The first of the 20-game broadcast season is Nov. 3 at 7 p.m. ET with the Raptors’ home opener against Milwaukee.
TSN has aired NBA games since it launched in 1984.
