TORONTO – Round ball has returned.
TSN and TSN2 unveiled their 2010-2011 NBA broadcast schedule of 94 NBA games, including 47 Toronto Raptors match-ups, all available in high definition.
In addition to its regular season broadcast schedule, TSN and TSN2 will have complete coverage of the NBA All-Star Weekend scheduled for February 18 – 20 in Los Angeles, plus the NBA Playoffs and exclusive Canadian coverage of the NBA Finals. TSN also scored the broadcast rights to all Raptors games throughout the post-season.
“There has been an incredible amount of buzz surrounding the NBA this off season and we are thrilled to have a fantastic schedule packed with 47 Raptors match-ups and all of the must-see games that fans won’t want to miss,” said TSN president, Stewart Johnston, in the announcement.
Cross town rival Rogers Sportsnet also rolled out its basketball schedule of 35 Toronto Raptors games – 12 on the main network and 23 on its newly launched Sportsnet One – all in high definition.
In addition, the Sportsnet group of channels will broadcast at least 35 other regular-season NBA games involving U.S. teams, plus 22 playoff games.
“We are excited about the return of the Raptors and the NBA to Sportsnet," said president Doug Beeforth, in the announcement. "The Raptors will be a flagship property for Rogers Sportsnet One, as will the many other NBA games we will offer Canadian basketball fans.”
