TSN, RDS to deliver exclusive Grey Cup coverage this Sunday


TORONTO and MONTREAL — Bell Media’s TSN and RDS will provide exclusive live coverage of the 108th Grey Cup championship game this Sunday, Dec. 12 when the reigning CFL champion Winnipeg Blue Bombers face the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in their home stadium Tim Hortons Field, Bell Media announced today.

TSN’s coverage of Grey Cup weekend starts Saturday, Dec. 11 at 12 p.m. ET on TSN3/TSN4, TSN.ca and the TSN app. The network will air six hours of preview coverage on Grey Cup Saturday, co-hosted by CFL on TSN’s Marshall Ferguson and BarDown’s Luca Celebre, who will be live on location in Hamilton.

TSN’s coverage on Grey Cup Sunday begins with a five-hour pre-game show starting at 1 p.m. ET on TSN, TSN.ca and the TSN app. Broadcasting live from Tim Hortons Field, the show will be hosted by TSN’s James Duthie alongside Jim Barker and Calgary Stampeders quarterback Bo Levi Mitchell.

The CFL on TSN panel, featuring host Kate Beirness and analysts Matt Dunigan, Milt Stegall and Davis Sanchez, along with TSN football insiders Dave Naylor and Farhan Lalji, will preview the game from all angles leading up to kickoff.

Coverage of the Grey Cup game begins Sunday at 6 p.m. ET on TSN, TSN.ca and the TSN app, with the CFL on TSN broadcast team led by play-by-play announcer Rod Smith and game analyst Glen Suitor.

Fans can also listen to live, nationwide radio coverage of the CFL championship game on the Grey Cup Radio Network produced by TSN Radio, starting with pre-game coverage on Sunday at 5 p.m. ET hosted by TSN 1050’s Aaron Korolnek, who will also return to host a live, 90-minute post-game show.

Calling the game at 6 p.m. ET across the Grey Cup Radio Network is CFL on TSN play-by-play announcer Dustin Nielsen and analyst Natey Adjei.

Over on RDS, the network’s French-language coverage of the Grey Cup starts with a one-hour pre-game show at 5 p.m. ET on Sunday.

The RDS broadcast team on-site in Hamilton will include David Arsenault and Pierre Vercheval providing play-by-play and analysis of the game, while Matthieu Proulx, Bruno Heppell, Danny Desriveaux and Didier Orméjuste will serve respectively as host, commentator and reporter for the CFL championship game.

RDS viewers will also be able to watch an interview conducted by Proulx with CFL Commissioner Randy Ambrosie on all the hot topics in the world of Canadian football, an RDS press release says.

Seven-time Juno Award winners and Hamilton band Arkells are headlining the so-called Twisted Tea Grey Cup Halftime Show, which will also feature two-time Grammy-nominated The Lumineers from Denver.
