
TORONTO and MONTREAL — Bell Media, the exclusive broadcaster of the National Football League (NFL) in Canada, announced today its coverage of the NFL season will kick off Thursday, Sept. 9 on TSN, CTV and RDS as well as their respective websites and streaming apps.
Pre-game coverage of the opening matchup between the Dallas Cowboys and the defending Super Bowl champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers starts Thursday at 7 p.m. ET on TSN and CTV2, followed by live coverage of the game from Raymond James Stadium in Tampa Bay at 8:20 p.m. ET. RDS’s French coverage begins at 7:30 p.m. ET.
Throughout the season, TSN, CTV2 and RDS will broadcast NFL games on Thursday evenings and Sundays (1 p.m., 4 p.m. and 8 p.m. ET), with CTV also airing Sunday afternoon games. In addition, TSN and RDS will present Monday night football matchups.
Bell Media’s television coverage of the NFL also includes NFL on CTV Live, following the conclusion of the network’s Sunday 4 p.m. ET games. Hosted by TSN’s Kara Wagland alongside football analyst Davis Sanchez, the show recaps all of the day’s NFL action and leads into Sunday Night Football on TSN and CTV2.
TSN’s programming also includes the preview and wrap-up shows Sunday NFL Countdown, Football Night in America, NFL Primetime, NFL Rewind, NFL Live and Monday Night Countdown.
Over on RDS, the NFL Football on RDS program will feature David Arsenault and Pierre Vercheval providing play-by-play and match analysis. Didier Orméjuste will host Sunday evening games on RDS.
In addition, Matthieu Proulx will host RDS’s football magazine show Blitz, which airs before the games on Thursdays, Sundays and Monday evenings.
Following the conclusion of the Sunday 4 p.m. ET game, Andrée-Anne Barbeau will host NFL Extra alongside Danny Desriveaux, who will present highlights from the day’s matches and accompany fans until the game at 8 p.m. ET.
CTV and RDS will air all NFL playoff games, including Super Bowl LVI.
Bell Media’s NFL programming will be available to stream live on TSN.ca, CTV.ca, RDS.ca, as well as the TSN, CTVand RDS apps.
Subscribers to TSN and RDS Direct will also be able to access NFL RedZone, which provides seven hours of live companion coverage of the Sunday afternoon games through the networks’ digital platforms.
