TSN adds pay streaming, apps, to broadcast coverage of UEFA Euro 2012


TORONTO – TSN is offering pay streaming packages and companion viewing apps in addition to its broadcast coverage of soccer’s UEFA Euro 2012 which kicks off Friday.

The TSN Euro 2012 apps for iPad and Android tablets, available on the App Store or Google Play, allow the user to select videos of goals, penalties, shots, saves, and great moves via a simple tap on a range of camera positions.  Users may also access the latest Euro buzz on Twitter and Facebook with a dedicated Euro feed featuring TSN analysts.

Also available are the TSN Euro 2012 match tracker app for iPhone and Android mobile phones that features push alerts allowing users to follow their favourite teams.  For $1.99 per game, fans can view video clips of all goals, penalties and red cards during the course of a match, plus receive a post-match highlights summary issued shortly after the final whistle.

In addition to its television broadcasts of the games, (click here for the full schedule), TSN is providing live, commercial-free, HD streaming of all matches on TSN.ca in partnership with Italian provider deltatre.  Canadian fans can purchase a tournament streaming package or purchase select games – the full tournament (31 games) costs $19.99; 24-Hour access is available for $4.99; and the playoffs (7 games) are $9.99.

Held every four years and this year hosted by Poland and Ukraine, UEFA Euro 2012 runs June 8 – July 1.
