TORONTO – After 14 years housed at Ryerson University, Toronto’s JAZZ FM91 is moving to new studios at King and Dufferin at the end of the month.
CJRT FM will have a street front operation on Pardee Avenue, including a 15-seat screening room where it will host showings of jazz documentaries, educational films, and recorded concerts, as well as live concerts, and intimate workshops.
“91.1 on the FM dial will continue to provide a window for the discriminating listener,” said Bernard Webber, long-time Chairman of JAZZ FM91’s board of directors. “Although we will be broadcasting from a new location, our mission will remain constant. As an educational-based charity our focus has always been on excellence and faithful stewardship of the mandate and resources provided by our listeners and supporters. Our donors and advertisers can be assured these will continue to be our guiding principles,” he said.
JAZZ FM91 is Canada’s only not-for-profit radio station dedicated to jazz.
