toober also announced the app can now be found in the Roku Channel store on all Roku TVs.
In Canada, the app is available on Rogers, Shaw, Videotron, Apple TV, Google TV Playstore and now, Roku. It will launch globally and on additional platforms later this year, according to a press release.
“toober aims to fill a gap in the live streaming market by providing subscribers access to all of their favourite channels from around the world at one low price,” the release reads.
“To deliver on that promise, toober is continuously adding the world’s most engaging and popular channels to the platform.”
toober previously announced the launch of 13 new channels in June and six new channels in July.
*A previous version of this article referred to toober as being owned by Ethnic Channels Group. However, toober is an independent organization that does not have a relationship with ECG beyond being a channel partner and sharing some shareholders.
