TMN goes national

TORONTO - Bell Media’s pay TV services The Movie Network (TMN) and TMN Encore are now available nationally for the first time.The move means that TMN, formerly available only in Eastern Canada, has increased its customer base to approximately two million subscribers across the country, according to Bell.  Pay TV brands Movie Central and Encore Avenue were wound down after Bell agreed to pay Corus Entertainment $211 million to gain national access to the pay-TV market.Comprising four, 24-hour, high definition multiplex channels, TMN offers movies, exclusive programming from HBO and Showtime, and Canadian feature films, documentaries, comedy specials, and series.  Subscribers...
