TORONTO – Direct marketer Torstar Media Group Television has been nominated for an Electronic Retailing Association Award in the category of Best International DRTV Production, the company announced today.
The nominated production is a short form spot created for AIG Assurance entitled Photo Album.
AIG Assurance’s agency OgilvyOne Worldwide selected TMG TV Productions to produce the spot, the first to be shot in High Definition by this major Canadian Insurance provider.
"We are seeing an increasing number of clients wanting the new ‘it’ look of HD" said Deborah Kelly, TMG TV’s manager of production. "High definition provided the client with the look and feel they desired without the higher cost of shooting on film".
After research and focus groups showed there was a need to highlight the family dynamic, ‘There is nothing more important than family’ was the theme selected as the focus of this spot. The setting of a grandparents’ living room with their grandchildren looking at an old photo album highlighted the importance of family and the necessity of ensuring they are taken care of should anything happen to you.
To be nominated for an award, the judges review the entries and select those that successfully exhibit the best creative strategy and execution of a DRTV spot.
