
TORONTO – Telelatino Network is once again partnering with TD Bank on a literacy program designed to help ease the arrival of new Canadians.
The TD Welcome to Canada program will distribute 1500 books to selected schools, community centers, and libraries across the country earmarked for young newcomers, particularly those of Hispanic descent. The books will help to foster an understanding of Canada, including language, geography, history and multiculturalism.
In addition, the TD Welcome to Canada program will be featured at a series of events throughout the summer and the campaign will be integrated into TD’s summer reading club program. The initiative will be supported by a national TV campaign on TLN Television and Univision Canada (in Spanish and English) to build awareness of children’s literacy with parents of new Canadians.
