TLN readies multilingual UEFA Euro 2012 coverage


TORONTO – TLN Television will offer Canadian soccer fans multilingual, multi-network TV coverage of the UEFA Euro 2012 which kicks off Friday and runs through July 1st.

Held every four years and this year hosted by Poland and Ukraine, the tournament follows 16 top qualified European nations as they compete in a round robin format.  TLN’s coverage will include all of the Italy, Spain and Portugal games, as well as all the event’s quarter, semi, and final matches.  Matches will be broadcast in Italian on TLN and in Spanish language on sister digital channel TLN en Español.

“We are thrilled to bring all the live action of the world’s greatest soccer teams to viewers in Italian and Spanish on two of our channels,” said TLN president Aldo Di Felice, in the announcement.  “The passion and excitement of the game really comes through in the commentary and creates an experience that is the next best thing to being there.”
