TORONTO – Corus Entertainment moved a few folks around this week, where Jocelyn Hamilton was promoted to vice-president content, Corus Kids Television reporting to Scott Dyer, executive vice-president and general manager, Corus Kids.
In this role she will supervise the creation of content for Treehouse, YTV, and Discovery Kids Canada as well as the Nelvana Studios.
Reporting to Hamilton is David Wiebe, in the newly created role of director of content, YTV, and Jamie Piekarz, in the new role of director of content, Treehouse and Discovery Kids Canada.
“These positions will provide a single entry point for content for our broadcast brands,” said a company memo announcing the new positions. Wiebe previously served as the Nelvana Studios development exec for Teletoon and prior to that was an executive at Kids WB. Piekarz was previously an executive producer for Treehouse, where she supervised many shows and, most recently, Jamie helped to shape new preschool content for Nelvana Studio.
John Rooney will continue in his role as director of programming, YTV; Brenda Nietupski will continue as director of programming, Treehouse and Discovery Kids Canada; and Amy Sutton will continue as manager, acquisitions and administration.
