MISSISSAUGA, ON – Registration is now open for any eager technicians wishing to compete in SCTE Ontario chapter’s 9th annual Cable-Tec Games to be held on June 6, 2013.
The Cable-Tec Games are a round robin format where contestants are marked based on time and craft on a number of tasks. Bring your best skills to take on tasks such as hard cable splicing, optical cable splicing, RF meter reading, MTDR, and drop connection, as well as a special Cable Jeopardy round.
Players will battle for the chance to win one of three spots on SCTE Ontario’s team competing at the SCTE International Games this October in Atlanta, Georgia. The Ontario team members will each have their entrance fee paid and $1,000 towards expenses to attend the SCTE International Games.
Interested technicians can contact Christine Hanley at SCTE Ontario Chapter by email with “Cable-Tec Games Contestant Registration” in the subject line, and provide their SCTE number (if they are a member) and t-shirt size. Registration is open until May 27.
Check in time for the event is 5 p.m. on June 6, and will be held at the Mississauga Grand Banquet Centre, 35 Brunel Road, Mississauga.
