Thunderbird creates new international division; inks first UK factual partnership

VANCOUVER - Kim's Convenience creator Thunderbird Entertainment has opened the doors on a new international division in the UK that will develop its intellectual property (IP) through partnerships with global production companies.The new division will be led by former Discovery International exec Ed Sayer who is tasked with expanding Thunderbird's global production capacity with a focus on factual content, and leveraging partnerships, joint ventures and acquisitions, detailed Wednesday’s announcement.As part of its official launch, Thunderbird announced its first UK factual partnership with Endemol Shine Group's Workerbee that will co-produce and pitch Thunderbird projects for UK platforms."International production is going to...
