MONTREAL — The six-part psychological thriller Piégés (Trapped) will be offered on Club illico this Thursday, Quebecor announced today.
Produced by DUO Productions in collaboration with Quebecor Content, the series stars Jean-Philippe Perras (above), Brigitte Lafleur, Martin Dubreuil, Schelby Jean-Baptiste and Brigitte Poupart.
In the series, five people are trapped. “They don’t know each other and think they have nothing in common. They wake up in cells custom-designed to exploit their individual fears and phobias, with no recollection of how they got there let alone why. Quickly, they realize that they are being spied on, listened to and that they have become the points in a dangerous game,” reads an English translation of an emailed Quebecor promo for the series.
“Each day that passes sees their captor imposing new psychological and physical pressures on them, pushing them a little closer to their limits, weakening them, forcing them to confront their own demons. Even by working together, will they be able to survive and regain their freedom?”
Piégés is produced by Anne Boyer and Stéphane Jacques, written by François Pagé and directed by Yannick Savard.
