Third group looks to take BCE private

MONTREAL - The Ontario Teachers Pension Plan and American private equity firm Providence Equity Partners lead the third group looking into purchasing Bell Canada Enterprises.Late Tuesday, BCE's strategic oversight committee of the board of directors made the announcement. The Company had previously announced its intention to review all strategic alternatives with a view to further enhance shareholder value. The review is currently expected to be completed in the third quarter of 2007. Look for a lot of interesting talk at today's BCE annual general meeting in Montreal on the future of the company. www.bce.ca
