Thinktv webinar to look at advertising that resonates during crisis

TORONTO — Following up on its webinar Tuesday about advertising during a recession, Canada’s TV marketing and research association, Thinktv, announced Wednesday its next webinar will feature Orlando Wood, chief innovation officer of System1 Group and author of the book Lemon, published by IPA.

The webinar’s topic is “The Covid-19 crisis calls for right-brain thinking” (read: more creative/artistic) and will take place April 30 from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. ET.

In next week’s presentation, Wood will outline what advertising is resonating most during the Covid-19 crisis and why right-brain ad creative is so critical at this time. His research draws on hundreds of commercials tested for emotional response, according to the webinar description.

At Thinktv’s Media, Marketing and Effectiveness event last November, Wood presented a talk on the differences between left- and right-brain thinking and the implications for advertising creative, which can be found here.
