TORONTO – Score Media is partnering with Toronto-based free evening newspaper t.o.night to brand its sport section as The Score.
Starting Monday evening, the independent newspaper which is distributed in the city’s downtown core on weekdays to public transit commuters, will feature daily content from the sports network’s personalities. The Score’s on-air talent will discuss their daily t.o.night columns on-air and with their fans through social media.
“At The Score, we’re always looking for ways to migrate our content to as many different platforms as possible”, said VP of marketing Susan Arthur, in the announcement. “As well, in the world of sports, we need that content to be as fresh as possible. By working with t.o.night we are able to take advantage of their same day, early afternoon publishing and provide sports coverage and insight that is up to date and relevant to commuters as they make their way home.”
Founded in September, t.o.night has an estimated 109,000 daily readers. The glossy, magazine-format publication is based on successful free evening newspapers in Australia, France and the United Kingdom.
