The Score takes Champ Car multiplatform rights


TORONTO – Score Media Inc. announced today that it has acquired the Canadian rights to 10 races of the 2007 Champ Car World Series, the series which features Canada’s most popular driver, Paul Tracy.

Included in the broadcast package are the online and mobile rights to highlights and features. The Score’s broadcasts will start April 22nd.

“We look forward to bringing the best Champ Car coverage to hardcore race fans,” said Anthony Cicione, vice-president, programming of The Score Television Network. “With our recent multi-platform successes, in addition to our television broadcast of the races, we will bring race highlights to theScore.ca and Score Mobile Video.”

Tracy and fellow Canuck Alex Tagliani will be back this season vying to steal the title from three-time champion, Sebastien Bourdais. Also joining the circuit this year will be newcomer, Graham Rahal, 18-year old son of Bobby Rahal.
