TFO’s French educational content headed to 1.8 million U.S. teachers, students

TORONTO – Groupe Média TFO will see its French educational content distributed across the U.S. via a new strategic partnership with PBS LearningMedia, the media-on-demand service of PBS for educators.

Beginning next spring, more than 1,000 French-language educational short-form programs produced by TFO in its Toronto studios will be made available through PBS LearningMedia to over 1.8 million teachers and students across 55 states and territories in America, reads Monday’s news release. The programming is geared towards learners aged two to 12.

"We see this as the first step in a wonderful strategic relationship with the most highly respected and credentialed educational media enterprise in the world”, said Groupe Média TFO president and CEO Glenn O’Farrell, in the release.  “We are very proud to be adding our award-winning French-language learning content to this very prestigious PBS digital platform."

"We are thrilled to be including the great French-language resources from TFO into PBS LearningMedia”, added Ed De Leon, senior director product strategy & content, PBS LearningMedia.  “This will help expand our World Languages content offering.”
