Telus taps peddle power to bring free Wi-Fi to Montrealers

MONTREAL - Telus’ Wi-Xi squad will be peddling along the streets of Montreal this summer to provide free access to its 4G LTE network. Telus will be decking out Bixi bike’s (used in the city’s bike sharing program) in Telus colours and transforming them into Wi-Fi access points via a 4G LTE modem linked to a battery that is recharged by pedal power.
