VANCOUVER – Telus and Motorola this week announced the Canadian wireless company will have the Motorola Q exclusively.
The Moto Q is a thin, sleek QWERTY keyboard wireless device meant to take a serious swing at the ubiquitous Blackberry.
It’s powered by the new Microsoft Windows Mobile 5.0. The operating system offers a familiar user interface making access to corporate and personal data in real-time easier. While away from the office, standard files, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat can be viewed on the device. It also offers integrated Bluetooth technology for wireless compatible headsets, hands-free car kits and data transfers of non copy-protected files. As well, clients have the option to listen to audio wirelessly through a compatible stereo Bluetooth headset.
The Moto Q delivers a portfolio of entertainment capabilities including Internet Explorer Mobile, which enables users to surf the Web, watch videos and play music with Windows Media Player 10 Mobile for a personalized multimedia experience.
Stateside, Verizon has the Q exclusively for now.
The MOTOQ is available at Telus retail locations across Canada for $249.99, subject to promotion conditions, on a three-year contract or $599.99 with no contract.
