Telus mobile radio offering more channels


TORONTO – Telus and XM Canada announced today that Telus mobile radio is now offering more channels, and customizable options.

Telus mobile radio now offers Canadians access to real-time streaming satellite radio programming and delivers an extensive range of up to 50 channels and a dozen genres, commercial-free music, talk, entertainment and family-friendly radio programming that can be accessed by Telus clients anytime and anywhere.

"Satellite radio is rising in popularity everywhere and Telus is proud to offer its mobility clients the XM Satellite Radio service in real-time streaming," said David Neale, senior vice-president of product and services at Telus.

The company is offering customers three new flexible plans allowing them choose the number of channels they want to listen to, at a price they want to pay. Operating on Telus’ wireless high speed and 1X/EVDO networks, Telus mobile radio offers live digital streaming of the XM Satellite Radio service through the following packages:

Radio 15 – unlimited access to 50 radio channels in 12 genres for $15 per month- Radio 8 – unlimited access to 15 radio channels in 9 genres for $8 per month- Radio Day Pass – Telus mobile radio subscribers can sample the full line-up of 50 channels in 12 genres for $3 per 24 hours.
