TORONTO – Telus has finalized a new partnership with global Internet of Things (IoT) platform leader Jasper that it says will help Canadian businesses to launch, manage and monetize IoT services.
The Telus Control Centre, a purpose-built IoT service platform provided by Santa Clara, Calif-based Jasper, promises to simplify the deployment and management of IoT services by offering automated device provisioning, real-time diagnostics, integrated billing, and deep reporting and cost-management features. The self-service platform manages the entire lifecycle of an IoT service, enabling companies to introduce new business models, go to market faster and scale over time to meet market demand.
"As businesses continue to embrace IoT technology, we're going to see millions of connected devices deployed in Canada within the next few years," said Telus’ VP of IoT Shawn Sanderson, in the news release. "Through this partnership, we're providing our customers with a market-leading solution to simplify their IoT operations, support rapid growth on a global scale and enable unparalleled visibility and control of their IoT business."
"Companies across all industries are looking to leverage IoT to deliver connected services," added Jasper’s chief customer officer Cindy Patterson. "With the Telus Control Centre, enterprises can quickly and easily deploy IoT services that increase value for their customers while introducing new, recurring revenue streams."
