Telus invests $1.04 million to expand 4G network to 4 more communities across BC

B.C. – Telus is investing in total, more  than $1.04 million to expand its 4G LTE network across B.C. to the Sunshine Coast, Gibsons, Sechelt and Powell River; as well as Tumbler Ridge, Dawson Creek and Fort St. John.

“Telus is committed to providing the best service to our customers, and that includes offering those on the Sunshine Coast the fastest wireless technology available in the world today,” said Raymond Lawson, Telus General Manager for Vancouver Island. “With a 4G LTE device like the Samsung Galaxy S III or Note II, Telus customers will have the fastest wireless Internet at their fingertips, as fast as your home internet connection but on your smartphone, tablet or Internet key. We have been continuing to expand this new technology, community by community, so that by the end of the year more than 80% of B.C. residents will have access. It’s an ambitious undertaking.”

Telus adds they have the same level of commitment to roll out 4G in the communities of Tumbler Ridge, Dawson Creek and Fort St. John.
