Telus chief data and trust officer to give keynote at CTS

TORONTO – Organizers of The Canadian Telecom Summit (CTS) today announced Pamela Snively (above), Telus’ chief data and trust officer, will give a keynote speech at this year’s conference, which is being held Nov. 21-23 at the International Centre in Toronto.

Snively, a lawyer who dedicated much of her career to the development and operationalization of privacy best practices, leads the Telus team “responsible for privacy governance and data ethics, along with data management and a number of compliance functions, including the Anti-bribery & Corruption and Competition Law programs,” an email announcing her as a speaker for the conference says.

“Pam approaches overall data governance through the lens of customer trust, leveraging TELUS’ Customer First principle to drive the organization’s commitment to privacy and data ethics,” says the email.

Telus has transformed its approach to transparency with regards to its data handling practices under Snively’s leadership.
