Ahead of Black Friday weekend, Telus announced Tuesday the return of its Buy One, Give One campaign, which aims to give new meaning to the traditional concept of BOGO.

From Nov. 28 to 30, for every new or certified pre-owned phone purchased by customers, Telus will give a free phone and plan to a Canadian youth transitioning out of government care through its Mobility for Good program, Telus said.

“Now in its 5th year, TELUS’ Buy One, Give One initiative empowers Canadians to shop with purpose — knowing their purchase is helping bridge digital divides and keep vulnerable youth connected,” reads a Telus announcement.

The offer is available online, by phone and at select stores.

The terms and conditions of the promotion on Telus’s website state it applies to every new postpaid activation with a mobility device purchased on a two-year Telus Easy Payment plan between Nov. 28-30, with Telus donating up to a maximum of 5,000 phones to individuals in need through its Mobility for Good program.

Since the launch of the program in 2021, Telus has donated more than 23,000 phones.

“This initiative reflects TELUS’ ongoing commitment to giving back and making a positive impact on customers and communities across Canada,” Telus said.
