
LOS ANGELES — Australian telco Telstra announced today the hiring of Mikoto Anzai (above) to lead key relationships and direct sales in the U.S. and Canada as part of the Australian telecom company’s continued growth of its Americas organization.
In the newly created position of director of partners and alliances, Anzai is based in Los Angeles and reports to Przemek Zajic, Telstra Americas vice-president for strategy, operations and partnerships.
“Mikoto brings substantial performance-driven partner management and business development experience from 15 years at BT in the Americas,” reads the press release announcing her appointment.
Most recently, Anzai was director, wholesales and strategic alliances, for BT Americas, leading strategic partner relationships in the Americas with a focus on Latin America. In that role, she launched a regional partner program in collaboration with leading global technology partners such as Cisco, Riverbed, Infovista and Poly.
Prior to that role, Anzai was senior business development manager for BT Global Strategic Alliances. From 2012-2016, she led the development of an alliance partnership program with service providers, carriers and system integrators. Previously, she was senior major accounts manager for BT Latin America.
