SAN FRANCISCO — Telstra Americas today announced Adam Day (above) has been appointed to lead its enterprise and technology sales group, with responsibility for both direct sales and indirect channels across the United States and Canada.
A 14-year Telstra veteran, Day has also had stints in Australia and the United Kingdom. Most recently, Day led Telstra Americas’ focus on the technology and media segment, where he successfully led a team that enabled some of the world’s largest cloud, collaboration, gaming, content and broadcast companies to build network infrastructure and reach markets across Asia Pacific, says the company’s press release announcing his promotion. Based in San Francisco, Day will continue to support Telstra Americas’ technology and media segment as part of his expanded role.
Day has extensive experience in the global technology and telecommunications industry. He was previously head of wholesale and federal sales for Telstra Americas, and prior to that he was the head of enterprise sales strategy for the Americas region. Day also helped to establish Telstra’s U.S. federal government business in Washington, D.C.
“We’ve seen incredible growth in our technology and financial services markets, and have ambitious growth plans in broadcast, enterprise services as well as our newest market in Canada,” said Day in the press release. “I look forward to working with our sales teams and partners to support a wide range of enterprise companies looking to grow their network infrastructure and workplace technology solutions.”
Telstra Americas announced in January its first point of presence in Canada, located at Cologix’s TOR1 interconnection hub in downtown Toronto. Leadership in the company’s new Toronto office will report directly to Day, according to a Telstra spokesperson.
