TelMAX launches all-fibre symmetrical 4 Gbps internet service in Richmond Hill

Continuing the expansion of its all-fibre network in the York Region area north of Toronto, telMAX announced last week its advanced internet service, featuring symmetrical upload and download speeds up to 4 Gbps, is now available in the community of Richmond Hill.

TelMAX first announced the launch of its fully symmetrical 4 Gbps residential internet service in York Region in December.

The independent ISP began expanding its all-fibre network in Richmond Hill in April 2024, as previously reported by Cartt.

“Fast, reliable internet is no longer a luxury, it’s essential for work, education, and staying connected with loved ones,” Richmond Hill’s mayor, David West, said in a telMAX press release. “We’re very excited that residents now have access to telMAX’s services.”

“Our mission is to provide residents across the GTA with the best internet experience possible — combining speed, reliability, and competitive pricing,” Michael Strople, telMAX’s CEO, said in a statement. “Partnering with local government and advancing communities like Richmond Hill is core to our values.”

TelMAX’s expansion into Richmond Hill follows its launches in other Greater Toronto Area communities, including Brooklin, Stouffville, Newmarket and Aurora.
