Telesat signs strategic collaboration agreement with Avanti Communications

Canadian satellite operator Telesat and London, U.K.-based Avanti Communications announced Wednesday the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to collaboratively test and develop low Earth orbit (LEO) services as part of Avanti’s global strategy to deliver multi-orbit solutions to customers at scale. Under the agreement, Avanti plans to incorporate Telesat’s Lightspeed LEO services into its network “to provide affordable, high quality broadband connectivity worldwide” to its enterprise and government customers, a press release says.
