Telesat says new satellite services licensing framework will allow it to be more competitive

OTTAWA – Telesat was quick to laude Industry Canada’s new satellite services licensing framework which it says places the Canadian industry on more equal footing with its international competitors. The decisions, released earlier this week, “represent a major overhaul of the existing framework and will enhance the international competitiveness of Canadian commercial satellite operators”, reads the statement by the Ottawa-based global satellite operator.
