Telecon buys parts of Netricom

MONTREAL – Telecon Group said Monday that it is buying some of the assets and business activities of Netricom's wireless network construction division.  Financial terms were not immediately disclosed.

The Québec-based company provides technical engineering, design, construction and implementation services for wireless and wireline networks.  Telecon said Monday that the acquisition will allow it to further grow its business in Quebec and Ontario, plus establish a national presence.

"As we announced upon my arrival in December 2012, our vision is to become a Canadian leader in the building of telecommunications and energy networks”, said president and CEO André Héroux, in the announcement.  "Furthermore, this strategic acquisition will allow us to build synergy within our Wireless Division. It sets the stage for a series of transactions which will enable us to offer a host of fully integrated services to our loyal customers."
