CHATHAM, ON – TekSavvy has brought its IPTV service TekSavvy TV to Ottawa.
Launched in association with its affiliate cable company Hastings Cable Vision, TekSavvy TV offers customers access to over 100 HD channels of sports, movies, series and kids programming including video on demand content from selected TV channels.
The service is currently available as an app for Apple TV, Android TV, and Amazon Fire Stick. Customers may start with TekSavvy TV Basic for $20.00 per month and add on additional theme packages that range in price from $6.00 to $20.00 per month. TekSavvy TV requires a TekSavvy residential Internet subscription with a minimum download speed of 15 Mbps.
Ottawa is the second Ontario market to have access to TekSavvy TV after the independent ISP rolled it out in home market of Chatham-Kent earlier this month.
Customers in Ottawa may sign-up for the service through TekSavvy's MyAccount portal at myaccount.teksavvy.com
"On the heels of our successful launch in our home town of Chatham, we're excited to bring a simple and high-quality TV experience to our customers in Ottawa," said TekSavvy CEO and Hastings Cable Vision president Marc Gaudrault, in the news release. "Our customers are asking for innovative, competitive Canadian television alternatives and TekSavvy TV is delivering more value with a great, easy-to-use experience on a device that they already own. We look forward to adding more devices, more features, and more channels, and rolling out to more areas in the coming months."
