TekSavvy chooses Ericsson for rural LTE build

CHATHAM and TORONTO – TekSavvy Solutions announced today it will deploy Ericsson as it upgrades and expands its existing rural fixed wireless access broadband network in southwestern Ontario. This partnership, the first between Ericsson and TekSavvy, will see the ISP deploy Ericsson radio, transport and Cloud Core network technology to serve several rural communities within the Municipality of Chatham-Kent, as well as Elgin, Lambton and Middlesex counties. TekSavvy will use Ericsson Radio System hardware and software to modernize its existing FWA network utilizing Ericsson 8x8 MIMO solutions, says the press release.
