CHATHAM, ON – TekSavvy Solutions has completed its acquisition of Lightwave Wireless Internet Services, a fixed-wireless broadband company in the Chatham-Kent area of Ontario.
TekSavvy said that the move strengthens its ability to provide high-speed Internet to rural residents in that region. The Lightwave network has now been integrated into TekSavvy's SkyFi network and, after improvements to the Lightwave infrastructure, now features persistent uptime and speeds of up to 10 Mbps.
“We are very excited about the Lightwave acquisition", said TekSavvy's Chief Information Officer Pascal Tellier, in the announcement. "Coming on the heels of the Hastings Cable Vision and ROOT Data Center deals, this is another network facilities investment that makes sense. It expands our ability to bring robust broadband, and our renowned customer support, to rural consumers in Chatham-Kent."
Founded in 1998, TekSavvy provides residential, business and wholesale Internet and voice services in Canada.
