Tech repair chain opens another shop in Ontario

PETERBOROUGH, Ont. — Tech repair company uBreakiFix has opened a new store in Peterborough, Ont., offering repairs on smartphones, tablets, computers and other electronic devices.

Located at 550 Lansdowne St. W., the new repair shop (pictured) is owned by Zain Jaffery and Sabil Ur-Rehman, who hope to expand by opening more uBreakiFix locations in the surrounding regions in the future, says the company’s press release.

“Staying connected is critical right now and it’s rewarding to be part of something that makes that possible for those in our community,” said Jaffery, in the release. “Prior to opening our uBreakiFix in Peterborough, we owned a private cell phone repair business. This opportunity has allowed us to not only expand our services but also reach more customers who can benefit from what we have to offer.”

While common repairs include shattered screens, software and camera issues, uBreakiFix offers support for most technical problems on any electronic device, from smartphones to drones to game consoles, regardless of make or model.

Founded in the U.S. in 2009, uBreakiFix began franchising in 2013 and currently operates more than 600 locations across the U.S. and Canada. To date, more than 9 million repairs have been completed at uBreakiFix’s locations across North America.
