T+E to premier new series featuring “shocking” ghost stories

Blue Ant announced today its paranormal TV channel T+E will premier Eli Roth Presents: A Ghost Ruined My Life on Friday Oct. 15 at 10 p.m. ET/PT during the channel’s Creep Week Halloween event, which runs from Oct. 9 to Oct. 17.

Executive produced by Eli Roth (Inglorious Basterds, Hostel), the horror anthology series “unveils shocking, modern-day real-life stories of hauntings,” a press release says.

“I’m fascinated by stalkers, the idea of one person you let into your life that won’t leave. But what happens if that person is a ghost? What happened if you had a supernatural stalker, and you had no way to get rid of them? To make matters worse, anyone you tell thinks you’re insane. I wanted to know if that has ever happened to someone,” said Roth, in the press release.

“I was shocked to see how many people experienced this phenomenon, and they were grateful to share their stories for the first time ever on camera.”

Episodes of Eli Roth Presents: A Ghost Ruined My Life are based on real stories.

“Each unique show aims to reveal the ravaged relationships, lost livelihoods, and obliterated sense of self that has plagued the main subject since their first confrontation with a ghost, demon, dark entity or poltergeist. Equal parts horrific and evocative, the series exposes audiences to the real-life stories of people dragged through hell and back as they struggle to rebuild their shattered lives,” the press release says.

The victims’ “first-hand accounts are enhanced with dramatic reconstructions,” and the series further “captures raw, unexplainable events taking place behind the scenes during production, from flickering lights to strange noises and electrical devices coming to life on their own.”

Eli Roth Presents: A Ghost Ruined My Life is a co-production between Blue Ant and discovery+. It is produced by Toronto-based Cream Productions.

Along with Roth, David Brady, Kate Harrison Karman and Matt Booi for Cream Productions and Cathy Garland for discovery+ are executive producers. Sam Linton, head of original content for Blue Ant Media’s Canadian channels, will oversee the series for T+E.
