CORONA, CA – Canadians will soon be able to get their hands on a TCL Roku TV after the Chinese manufacturer announced plans to expand its TV business into Canada this fall.

Thursday's news release did not provide any details on models or pricing that will be available at launch.  TCL also distributes BlackBerry-branded mobile devices in most global markets including Canada and the U.S.

In additional, TCL named Steven Abrams as its new director of business development in Canada. He was most recently national director of sales for Funai Corporation where he was responsible for the sales, marketing and distribution management of Philips, Magnavox and Sanyo branded electronics products within the Canadian market.

"We are thrilled about the Canadian market opportunity and look forward to bringing our successful TCL Roku TV models to Canada in Q3", said TCL North America SVP Chris Larson, in the release.  "In the first quarter of 2018, TCL held the #2 position by units sold in the U.S. and we look forward to replicating our successes in Canada."
