Tarzan Dan moves west


KELOWNA, B.C. – Sun FM in Kelowna, B.C. announced today that “Tarzan” Dan Freeman has been hired to take over Mornings on CHSU/FM (SUNFM).

Freeman brings a wealth of on-air experience to the Okanagan as a nationally renowned Canadian broadcast personality. "Tarzan Dan" first became recognized through his work on YTV as host/co-producer/writer of Canada’s No. 1 rated national video countdown show "The Hitlist".

He has been nominated as Canadian Radio Announcer of the year several times, winning that award in consecutive years from 1990 to 1993 for his work with KISS FM Toronto.

A professional writer, on-air talent and commercial photographer, his national commercial clients include MuchMusic, Jeep, Coca-Cola and Budweiser. “He is passionate about broadcasting and a consummate entertainer and professional. We are extremely pleased and excited to have Dan joining our team,” says the SUN FM press release.

Freeman is busy putting affairs in order to move west and will take over mornings at the end of June.
